This custom marine capacitive touch display is developed for shipboard equipment manufacturers, marine system integrators and control-console builders. It can be configured for bridge consoles, engine-room monitoring, navigation-support terminals, deck equipment controls and other vessel-mounted interfaces.
Marine installations may involve high humidity, salt exposure, vibration, electrical noise, day/night viewing requirements and operation with gloves or wet hands. Ever Glory provides project-based OEM/ODM engineering for the LCD, PCAP touch system, optical bonding, cover glass, brightness control, sealing structure, interfaces, power input, housing and mounting method. Environmental performance and compliance documentation are confirmed according to the approved product configuration and applicable test requirements.
This custom marine capacitive touch display is intended for integration into vessel control consoles and marine equipment. Typical applications include bridge control interfaces, engine-room monitoring panels, navigation-support terminals, deck machinery controls, communication equipment and onboard information systems.
Unlike a standard indoor monitor, a marine display must be evaluated against the vessel location and installation conditions. A protected bridge console, an engine room and an exposed deck installation have different requirements for brightness, sealing, corrosion resistance, temperature, vibration, power input and EMC performance. Ever Glory configures the product according to the approved project specification rather than applying one generic marine rating to every installation.
Bridge and navigation-related interfaces may require clear visibility in bright daylight together with low minimum luminance for nighttime operation. LCD brightness, dimming range and control method should be selected according to the installation position, ambient illumination and host-system requirements.
Available project options may include a high-brightness LCD, manual brightness adjustment, PWM control, serial control or ambient-light-based dimming. The supported method and minimum luminance must be confirmed using the approved electronics and LCD configuration.
OCA or OCR optical bonding can reduce internal reflection between the LCD and cover glass, improve perceived contrast and limit the risk of internal condensation. AG or AR surface treatment can also be evaluated for bridge windows, wheelhouse consoles and other locations affected by ambient reflection.
The final optical configuration should consider display brightness, viewing angle, polarized sunglasses, surface reflection and nighttime visibility. Optical bonding alone does not establish sunlight readability or marine compliance.
The PCAP touch system can be evaluated for finger, glove and wet-hand operation. Touch performance depends on glove material and thickness, water conditions, cover-glass thickness, sensor design, controller selection and firmware tuning.
Validation should use the actual operating glove, representative water exposure and the final metal enclosure. A generic “glove touch” or “waterproof touch” claim should not replace application-specific testing.
Front protection is determined by the cover glass, gasket, cabinet opening, mounting pressure and installation method. For panel-mounted bridge or engine-room equipment, the sealing structure can be designed around the customer’s console drawing.
Whole-unit ingress protection requires a complete sealed enclosure, appropriate connectors and verified cable entries. A front IP rating must not be represented as the IP rating of the complete monitor.
Marine equipment may be exposed to salt-laden air, high humidity and cleaning chemicals. Project options can include corrosion-resistant housing materials, protective surface finishes, stainless-steel fasteners, sealed cable outlets and conformal coating where appropriate.
Salt-mist resistance must be stated together with the applicable test standard, duration and product configuration. Corrosion-resistant materials alone do not constitute a passed salt-spray test.
Shipboard vibration can affect connectors, mounting points, LCD assemblies and touch performance. The mounting bracket, fasteners, cable retention and enclosure rigidity should be reviewed against the specified vibration and shock profile.
Any vibration or shock rating must identify the test standard, frequency range, acceleration or displacement, test duration and mounting orientation.
Marine DC power systems may experience voltage variation and electrical transients. The required input range, isolation, reverse-polarity protection, surge protection and grounding arrangement should be defined during project review.
The display must be evaluated together with the vessel power architecture and host equipment. “Wide voltage” should be replaced by an exact verified input range in the approved specification.
Marine touch displays may operate near radios, navigation equipment, motors, relays and power converters. Touch-controller tuning, shielding, grounding, filtering and cable routing can be optimized for the specified environment.
If IEC 60945 or another marine EMC requirement applies, the exact product configuration and test scope must be confirmed. IEC 60945 should not be claimed solely because individual components have industrial EMC specifications.

Ever Glory supports marine equipment manufacturers and system integrators with project-based customization covering:
IEC 60945 compliance is not implied for every configuration. If IEC 60945 applies to your project, please provide the required test scope and installation category. Compliance can only be stated when the final or controlled representative product configuration is covered by applicable test documentation.
An exposed-deck application requires evaluation of whole-unit sealing, waterproof connectors, sunlight readability, UV exposure, salt corrosion, temperature, drainage and enclosure materials. A front-sealed bridge display should not automatically be used as an exposed-deck monitor.
Glove and wet-touch operation can be evaluated through sensor design, controller selection and firmware tuning. Validation must use the actual glove material, water condition, cover glass and final metal enclosure.
Manual, PWM, serial or ambient-light-based brightness control may be evaluated according to the selected electronics. The required maximum brightness, minimum night luminance, number of dimming steps and host-control protocol should be defined before sample development.
The IP scope must identify whether it applies to the installed front surface or the complete monitor enclosure. Front protection depends on the cover glass, gasket, cabinet opening and mounting pressure. Whole-unit protection also requires a sealed rear enclosure, connectors and cable entries.
Corrosion-resistant housing materials, surface finishes, fasteners, sealed connectors and conformal coating can be evaluated. Any salt-mist claim must be supported by a specified test standard, duration and applicable product configuration.
MOQ and lead time are project-based. They depend on display size, LCD selection, custom glass, optical bonding, electronics, sealed housing, connectors, tooling and validation scope. Please provide the prototype quantity, annual forecast and project schedule for evaluation.
Send your vessel application, installation area, mechanical drawing and environmental requirements to Ever Glory.
